Located in the historical 10th century district of the Albaizyn in Granada, with views to the Alhambra the Palacio Conde de Cabra provides visitors to the city with truly unique accommodation.
Built in 1550 the house was a former palace owned by the Count of Cabra, a once important town in Córdoba province. Now lovingly restored to its former glory, the house contains several suites wich feature a lounge, bedroom and ensuite bathroom. Some of the suites have stunning views to the world famous Alhambra, while others have street views and views to the picturesque internal courtyard. Two of the suites have two bedrooms with their own ensuite bathroom.
Located only 280m from the main thoroughfare of Gran Vía and Plaza Nueva, the Palacio Conde de Cabra is easily accessed by walking up the narrow and delightful street Calderería Nueva replete with its multitude of Arabic teas shops and souvenir shops. After the San Gregorio church you will see the sun-bathed ochre-coloured façade of the Palacio a few metres ahead of you on the right. Take a moment to admire the tower.
Taberna del Beso forms part of The Palacio wich serves breakfast from 9:00 am each day. Lunch and dinner are also served and guests can enjoy both the elegant salon where musical events are sometimes held, as well as the tranquil courtyard.
Some of the many places of tourist and historical interest close to the Palacio Conde de Cabra include the Alhambra and Generalife, the Cathedral, the Science Park wich is a great place for children, the Basilica of St. John of God, the monastery of San Jeronimo, the Bañuelo wich is one of the few remaining Arab baths in the city, the centre of contemporary art, the stunningly beautiful Madraza, and the Royal chapel. You can also enjoy a riveside walk along the Paseo de los Triste (Walk of the sorrowful) at the foot of the Alhambra, and of course the colourful and vibrant Plaza Bib Rambla is only minutes away, as is the old Jewish quarter of Realejo and other commercial and leisure facilities.
